The limo you picture and the limo you need
Plenty of people who search for a limo picture a long white stretch. Then they think about the actual trip: two people, three suitcases, a 2 am landing, a hotel on the Palm. A stretch is the wrong car for that. What they need is a quiet luxury car with room for the bags, and a driver already waiting in arrivals at a price agreed before the flight.
That’s what we send when you book a limousine. It’s one of our chauffeur and transfer services and draws on the top end of the fleet, from the S-Class up to Rolls-Royce.
What a limousine service in Dubai means
In Dubai, a limousine service is a pre-booked luxury car with a professional chauffeur. The RTA licenses this activity as Passenger Transport by Luxury Motor Vehicles, and on the road that means sedans such as the S-Class and 7 Series, large SUVs and luxury vans. Stretch limousines are a small niche. Every car we send is RTA-licensed for chauffeur hire.
One rule matters to every passenger. The RTA’s driver violations schedule fines a luxury vehicle driver for picking up passengers without a prior booking. A “limo” that offers you a ride at the kerb without one is breaking that rule. Book ahead, always.
How booking a limousine works
- Send the details on WhatsApp: pickup, drop-off or the hours you need, date, time, number of passengers and bags, and the flight number if you’re landing.
- Tell us which car you’d like, or the occasion, and we’ll suggest one.
- We reply with a fixed fare. Nothing is charged by the meter.
- For airport pickups we track the flight, and the driver waits in arrivals with a name board. Airport bookings include 60 minutes of free waiting, other pickups 15 minutes.
- The driver loads the bags, and you go.
VIP airport arrivals by limousine
At Dubai International there’s no pickup lane at arrivals. Dubai Airports directs anyone collecting a passenger to the terminal car park, so a limo pickup means the driver meets you inside the arrivals hall and walks you to the car. Expect a short walk with the bags. Our Dubai airport arrivals guide shows what happens between the aircraft door and the hall.
If you want help before that point, such as fast-track through immigration or a porter at baggage claim, that’s a separate airport service. Our airport meet and greet page explains how it works with a chauffeur pickup. For the full DXB picture, by terminal, see our Dubai airport transfer page.
Choosing the car
| Car | Comfortable seats | Large cases | Choose it for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mercedes S-Class | 3 | 2 | Business arrivals, dinners, the safe choice |
| Mercedes-Maybach S-Class | 2-3 | 2 | One or two VIPs who want to recline |
| Rolls-Royce Ghost | 3 | 2 | A Rolls-Royce arrival, smaller than the Phantom |
| Rolls-Royce Phantom | 3 | 2 | The biggest statement at a hotel door |
| Rolls-Royce Cullinan | 3 | 3 | Rolls-Royce comfort with room for more bags |
| Cadillac Escalade | 6 | 4 | Families and small groups who want luxury together |
The Maybach is the one we’d book for a long ride. Mercedes gave it a wheelbase 18 cm longer than the long S-Class, all of it in the rear, and the rear Executive seats recline up to 43.5 degrees. On a long run to Ras Al Khaimah, that matters more than the badge.
The Rolls-Royce models all use rear-hinged coach doors, which make getting in and out in formal clothes easier. Compare them side by side under our ultra-luxury cars, or read our guide to choosing the right chauffeur car.
Stretch limousines for occasions
Stretch limos do exist in the UAE. Some operators run stretched SUVs and sedans for birthdays, proms and hen nights. Our fleet list doesn’t include one, and we’d rather say so than send you a different car on the night.
For most occasions, we suggest one of two routes. Two or three people get more from a Rolls-Royce, which looks better in photos and was built from the start around its rear seats. A group of six to sixteen stays together in a V-Class or a Sprinter. If the occasion is a wedding, our wedding car service is planned around the day’s timings and photo stops.
What a limo costs, and why
We don’t publish one price, because the same car can do a 25-minute airport run or a six-hour evening. The fare depends on the car you choose, whether you book by the trip or by the hour, the date (New Year’s Eve and big event weekends are in high demand), waiting beyond the free time, and trips between emirates, where Salik and Darb tolls and the longer distance come in. Every fare is fixed and agreed on WhatsApp before you ride.
Limousine service outside Dubai
In Abu Dhabi, the Integrated Transport Centre regulates passenger transport, and a typical limousine run there is a Zayed International arrival heading to Saadiyat or Yas Island. See our Abu Dhabi chauffeur service for the capital.
At Sharjah International, the airport lists a luxury limousine service from Sharjah Taxi outside arrivals. Book ahead with us instead and you get the car you named, with the fare fixed before you land. Our Sharjah airport transfer page covers that arrival.
Ras Al Khaimah regulates limousines under its own Resolution No. 3 of 2021, with RAKTA issuing the permits. From Dubai, the drive there is long enough to justify the Maybach or the Cullinan.
Send your trip to +971 58 181 0789 on WhatsApp. We answer bookings 24 hours a day and reply with a fixed fare for the car you want.
