The Escalade is the car people picture when they think of a Gulf VIP arrival: tall, square-shouldered and big enough for a principal, an assistant and the bags. It sits in the SUV class of our fleet beside the GMC Yukon and Chevrolet Suburban, which are built on the same General Motors full-size platform. What the Cadillac adds is the cabin and the badge.
Who books a Cadillac Escalade with driver in Dubai
It makes most sense for two kinds of trip. An executive landing at DXB Terminal 3 with a colleague or a security lead, who wants one car instead of two sedans. Or a family of five or six who want the arrival to feel like an occasion and still have room for a pushchair.
It also works well as the car behind the bride’s. For the family car at a wedding, see our wedding car hire, and for delegations that need two or three matching SUVs, our corporate chauffeur service handles the timing between cars.
What the rear seat is actually like
Seven-seat Escalades have two captain’s chairs in the second row with a walkway between them. Those chairs are the best seats in the car. The third row is fine for adults on a 20-minute hop to Downtown, less so on a long motorway run to Abu Dhabi.
The step-in is high. Older passengers usually prefer the second row and a steadying hand from the driver.
Some Escalades carry Cadillac’s Executive Second Row package, with two 12.6-inch seatback screens and a centre panel for rear climate and seat massage. Not every car has it, so if screens matter to you, say so when you book.
Escalade or Escalade ESV: the luggage question
There are two lengths. The standard Escalade and the long-wheelbase Escalade ESV. Many UAE chauffeur firms run the long versions (Escalade ESV, Yukon XL) for one reason: the boot. GM’s long bodies are close to half a metre longer, and nearly all of that extra length sits behind the third row.
| Escalade | Escalade ESV | |
|---|---|---|
| Comfortable passengers | 6 | 6 |
| Large cases with all six seated | About 4 | 5, sometimes 6 |
| Carry-ons | Footwells and laps | Usually in the boot |
| Pick it for | VIP arrivals, normal luggage | A case per person |
We don’t promise one body over the other on this page. Send us your passenger count and how many large cases are coming, and we’ll confirm the car that fits before we send the fare.
Airport runs and routes the Escalade suits
DXB has no pickup lane at arrivals, so your driver meets you inside the hall with a name board and walks you to the car park where the Escalade is waiting. Our Dubai airport transfer page covers each terminal. On a longer run such as Dubai airport to Abu Dhabi, the quiet cabin counts for more than it does on a short hop to Downtown.
Escalade, Yukon Denali or Suburban?
Same size class, different priorities. The GMC Yukon Denali gives you almost the same space with a less flashy cabin. The Chevrolet Suburban always comes in the long body and puts luggage first. Choose the Escalade when the arrival itself matters. Ask us to quote two of them side by side if you’re unsure.
Booking tips
Send your flight number, passenger count and the number of large cases. Count golf bags and pushchairs separately, because they decide whether the standard body is enough. Child seats are available on request. WhatsApp +971 58 181 0789 and we’ll reply with a fixed fare, any hour.
