Who books a Range Rover with driver in Dubai
It suits people who want to sit high but don’t need a big SUV. Executives travelling alone or with one colleague. Couples on a city break. A guest of honour at a wedding who’d rather not arrive in a saloon. A parent being collected for a long family visit. It’s also rare in Dubai chauffeur fleets: of eight UAE operators we checked, only one or two listed it, so it stands out at a hotel entrance in a way a big GM SUV doesn’t.

The rear seat is where the money goes
Land Rover introduced this generation as “a tranquil sanctuary”, and the back seat is where you feel it. According to Land Rover’s Middle East specifications, the rear seats power-recline and are heated, with ventilation added on higher trims, and upper trims bring Executive Class rear seats. On a hot afternoon in July, cooled seats matter more than any screen.
Land Rover also builds a four-seat SV version with a club table and a fridge between the rear seats. It’s a collector’s car more than a chauffeur staple, so don’t expect one on a standard booking.
Luggage reality
Plan on three large cases plus carry-ons with two or three passengers. That covers most couples and solo business travellers. A family of four with a case each is a different job: the boot runs out before the seats do.

If you’re three or fewer, take the Range Rover. Four or more, take the Cadillac Escalade. And if the trip is a once-a-year occasion, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the step above both.
Arrivals and routes it suits
The Range Rover works well for Abu Dhabi airport transfers to Saadiyat or Yas, and for the hop from DXB to Downtown or Palm Jumeirah. At DXB, your driver meets you in arrivals with a name board and walks you to the car park.
